{"id":417726,"date":"2021-10-11T08:23:32","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T06:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=417726"},"modified":"2021-10-11T12:45:04","modified_gmt":"2021-10-11T10:45:04","slug":"fnb-online-banking-downtime-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/banking\/417726-fnb-online-banking-downtime-3.html","title":{"rendered":"FNB Online banking downtime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FNB clients complained that they were unable to log into the bank\u2019s online platform on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The problems started late on Sunday, with FNB customers <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mapiti31\/status\/1447209383558066186\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complaining<\/a><\/strong> that the FNB app, cellphone banking, and ATMs were not working for them from the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>When clients tried to access the app, the received an error message stating that the bank\u2019s system is currently unavailable due to routine maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>At 16:15 on Sunday, the bank confirmed the outage. At 21:00 it said that the problems had been resolved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe apologise to customers who experienced limited functionality on our digital channels earlier,\u201d FNB <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FNBSA\/status\/1447276766616227841\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can confirm that the issue has been resolved, and our channels are operating normally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, on Monday morning, several FNB clients reported that they were unable to access their online banking services.<\/p>\n<p>While some customers are <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JacquiRich\/status\/1447438209881944064\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reporting<\/a><\/strong> that banking services are back online for them, others say they are still experiencing issues.<\/p>\n<p>One PayPal user and business banking clients reported that they are having trouble logging into FNB online banking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot log in to the website both on Chrome and Firefox.
