{"id":42289,"date":"2012-01-27T15:01:34","date_gmt":"2012-01-27T13:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=42289"},"modified":"2012-01-27T15:05:24","modified_gmt":"2012-01-27T13:05:24","slug":"uncapped-adsl-for-browsing-at-r59","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/adsl\/42289-uncapped-adsl-for-browsing-at-r59.html","title":{"rendered":"Uncapped ADSL for browsing at R59"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"OpenWeb\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226986-Openweb\">Openweb<\/a> today (27 January 2012) unveiled their OpenBrowse Uncapped ADSL promotion with an uncapped 384kbps account selling at R59 per month.<\/p>\n<p>The OpenBrowse uncapped ADSL service is suitable for online services browsing, e-mails, <a title=\"Skype\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/352082-Skype\">Skype<\/a> and gaming, but has severe restrictions on any large downloads.<\/p>\n<p>Openweb founder <a title=\"Keoma Wright\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/301363-Keoma-Wright\">Keoma Wright<\/a> explained that any kind of download will be slowed significantly. &#8220;The download will still come down, but no great speed can be expected,&#8221; said Wright.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube and other streaming services will also be severely crippled.
