{"id":42423,"date":"2012-01-30T16:28:29","date_gmt":"2012-01-30T14:28:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=42423"},"modified":"2012-01-30T16:29:32","modified_gmt":"2012-01-30T14:29:32","slug":"front-runner-for-top-sabc-post-lacks-matric","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/42423-front-runner-for-top-sabc-post-lacks-matric.html","title":{"rendered":"Front runner for top SABC post lacks matric"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A leading candidate for the post of <a title=\"SABC\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/313653-South-African-Broadcasting-Corporation-(SABC)\">SABC<\/a> chief operating officer lacks a matric certificate as well as top management experience, the Sunday Independent reported.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being the second most powerful post at the organisation, the job was only advertised internally, and applicants had just three working days to apply, according to the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Hlaudi Motsoeneng, currently an SABC employee, was reportedly being favoured for the job despite his lack of qualifications and experience.<\/p>\n<p>SA Broadcasting Corporation CEO <a title=\"Lulama Mokhobo\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/396771-Lulama-Mokhobo\">Lulama Mokhobo<\/a> told the paper the job did not require a degree, but an understanding of how business operations were run.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It does not require a degree to run a business operation. That does not require an MBA.
