{"id":42977,"date":"2012-02-08T10:12:30","date_gmt":"2012-02-08T08:12:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=42977"},"modified":"2012-02-08T12:23:56","modified_gmt":"2012-02-08T10:23:56","slug":"seacom-downtime-woes-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/42977-seacom-downtime-woes-continue.html","title":{"rendered":"SEACOM downtime woes continue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"SEACOM\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227005-SEACOM\">SEACOM<\/a> experienced downtime again today (8 February), which seems to have been caused by partner cable problems between Egypt and France.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous broadband users complained about slow international speeds and high latency to international servers.<\/p>\n<p>SEACOM could not immediately say what caused the problem, but confirmed that there were glitches on their system on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The company announced on their website early on Wednesday that \u201cSEACOM is experiencing a service affecting outage that started in the early hours of Wednesday 8 February between Abu Talat (Egypt) and Marseilles (France)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The problem was restored at around 09:30.
