The new Webmail will boast a &ldquo;range of applications designed to suit a variety of internet user profiles&rdquo;, the company says.<\/p>\n<p>This includes voice and videomail, a feature that helps visually-impaired communicate via mainstream communication. Other applications that have been introduced to the site include webchat, an instant messaging system that enables users to chat online or from a cellphone. Webmail will also offer a fax to email service.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Right now South Africans could do with a little extra for free,&quot; says Dennis Armstrong, marketing and business development director for Interface Media, Webmail&#8217;s holding company. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;We&#8217;ve got the platform to offer it, and are bringing even more value to the table. This climate is an ideal opportunity to show why we&#8217;re different.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Most free email providers have come under pressure from Google&rsquo;s entrance into the market through its Gmail offering.
