{"id":444358,"date":"2022-05-13T10:14:24","date_gmt":"2022-05-13T08:14:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=444358"},"modified":"2022-05-13T11:38:00","modified_gmt":"2022-05-13T09:38:00","slug":"dstv-gives-free-disney-subscriptions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/444358-dstv-gives-free-disney-subscriptions.html","title":{"rendered":"DStv gives free Disney+ subscriptions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MultiChoice is giving DStv subscribers three months of Disney+ for free, TV with Thinus <a href=\"https:\/\/teeveetee.blogspot.com\/2022\/05\/multichoice-starts-giving-disney-for.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>reports<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to TV expert Thinus Ferreira, DStv has started sending subscribers part of its DStv Rewards Loyalty Programme an &#8220;exclusive offer&#8221; for a limited-time free subscription.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our new plus one is launching on 18 May, and as a valued Rewards member, we are giving you three months of Disney+ on us,&#8221; DStv stated.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcaster asked these customers to confirm their cellphone numbers as that would be used to link to their Disney+ account.<\/p>\n<p>DStv Rewards is a free programme\u00a0open to all residential DStv account holders with at least one active DStv subscription.<\/p>\n<p>It provides discounts and special offers on DStv products, installations, upgrades, and free entries to competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Customers have to join the programme from their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dstv.co.za\/mydstv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MyDStv online dashboard<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MultiChoice confirmed the promotion was available and explained the following rules applied:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>A pre-requisite to receive the reward, is that DStv must have the customer\u2019s correct and most updated cellphone number, as the offer is linked to a unique cellphone number and Disney will communicate important information, such as a unique OTP directly to the customer.<\/li>\n<li>Qualifying customers will be offered the opportunity to update their cellphone numbers in order to take up the offer.<\/li>\n<li>Customers who do not update and provide DStv with the correct cellphone number by 15 May will not be able to enjoy the 3-month reward.<\/li>\n<li>Rewards members must log in to their 3-month Disney+ reward from 18 May to enjoy the full 3 months.<\/li>\n<li>Existing MultiChoice\u00a0<u>T&amp;Cs<\/u>\u00a0apply:\u00a0<strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dstv.co.za\/media\/18815\/mcg-competitions-terms-and-conditions.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.dstv.co.za\/media\/18815\/mcg-competitions-terms-and-conditions.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1652520360343000&amp;usg=AOvVaw225LGby2bp8qkeHkgS2jrb\">https:\/\/www.dstv.co.za\/media\/18815\/mcg-competitions-terms-and-conditions.pdf<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_444380\" style=\"width: 1610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screenshot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-444380\" class=\"size-full wp-image-444380\" src=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screenshot.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-444380\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">DStv&#8217;s Disney+ offer. Credit: Thinus Ferreira<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/439130-disney-launch-date-and-prices-for-south-africa.html\">Disney+ is due to launch in South Africa<\/a><\/strong> on 18 May 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The Walt Disney Company has confirmed <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/443688-disney-vs-netflix-south-african-libraries-and-features-compared.html\">the service will include 2,277 titles at launch<\/a><\/strong>, comprising 1,332 movies and 945 series.<\/p>\n<p>DStv <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/442214-dstv-to-offer-disney-in-south-africa.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>previously confirmed<\/strong><\/a> it partnered with Walt Disney to offer the service on its Explora Ultra decoder.
