{"id":44465,"date":"2012-02-28T09:42:09","date_gmt":"2012-02-28T07:42:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=44465"},"modified":"2012-02-28T11:28:06","modified_gmt":"2012-02-28T09:28:06","slug":"intel-clarifies-ivy-bridge-delay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/44465-intel-clarifies-ivy-bridge-delay.html","title":{"rendered":"Intel clarifies Ivy Bridge delay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chip manufacturer, <a title=\"Intel\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/307489-Intel\">Intel<\/a>, has clarified comments made by an executive that mentioned a delay in plans to roll out the company\u2019s next generation of processors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Reports of an eight-week delay to the Ivy Bridge launch are inaccurate, and our schedule has only been impacted by a few weeks,&#8221; according to company spokesman <a title=\"Jon Carvill\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/408023-Jon-Carvill\">Jon Carvill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Carvill was clarifying statements made by <a title=\"Sean Maloney\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/338929-Sean-Maloney\">Sean Maloney<\/a>, executive vice-president of Intel, over the weekend.
