A technical problem at a switching station in Kelvin has caused power outages in the north eastern suburbs of Johannesburg, a spokesperson said on Monday. <\/p>\n
"We have a technical problem at the Kelvin switching station, next to the Kelvin power station. As a result, we do not have power supply to five sub-stations in the north eastern areas of Johannesburg," said city power spokesperson Louis Pieterse. <\/p>\n
This meant that sub stations at Gresswold, Orchards, Bellevue and Observatory were without power. <\/p>\n
Power should be restored around noon on Monday, Pieterse said. <\/p>\n
