{"id":45075,"date":"2012-03-07T09:22:26","date_gmt":"2012-03-07T07:22:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=45075"},"modified":"2012-03-07T09:35:03","modified_gmt":"2012-03-07T07:35:03","slug":"r59-unlimited-nokia-data-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/45075-r59-unlimited-nokia-data-service.html","title":{"rendered":"R59 \u201cunlimited\u201d Nokia data service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today (7 March 2012), <a title=\"Nashua Mobile\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/313921-Nashua-Mobile\">Nashua Mobile<\/a> has launched a new data service called Xtreme data for <a title=\"Nokia\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/314603-Nokia-Corporation\">Nokia<\/a> phones that offers users unlimited usage on the MTN and Vodacom networks for R59 per month.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Xtreme Data allows you to make the most of the internet on your smartphone with access to Email, Browsing, Internet, Social Networking and Instant Messaging at a fixed cost of only R59 per month,&#8221; Nashua Mobile said.<\/p>\n<p>The service allows for up to a maximum of 512kbps broadband Internet access.\u00a0 It will offer shaped bandwidth which involves the prioritising of Internet traffic for web browsing, email, social networking and instant messaging.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Certain streaming protocols will be blocked on the Xtreme Data network, for example <a title=\"YouTube\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/363498-YouTube\">YouTube<\/a>,&#8221; said Nashua Mobile.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribers will see increased shaping and\/or throttling after using more than 100MB of data per month and can expect even more aggressive shaping\/throttling after using 160MB in a month.<\/p>\n<p>This new Nokia-specific smartphone data bundle is exclusive to Nashua Mobile, the service provider said, even though the service runs on the Vodacom and\u00a0<a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226943-MTN\">MTN<\/a> networks.
