13th generation Core i7 processor gets overclocked to 6GHz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two benchmarks from an anonymous user show Intel\u2019s Core i7-13700K processor reaching 6GHz clock speeds, VideoCards.com <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/videocardz.com\/newz\/intel-core-i7-13700k-has-been-overclocked-to-6-ghz-allegedly-scores-983-points-in-cpu-z-st-test\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The first test screenshot shows the 13th Gen i7 running at 6GHz across all eight performance cores, with efficiency cores disabled.<\/p>\n<p>VideoCardz.com reported that the screenshot showing temperatures between 25 to 37 degrees Celsius implied it was captured after the test.<\/p>\n<p>Intel\u2019s overclocked Core i7-13700K chip got a 983 score in CPU-Z\u2019s single-thread benchmark.<\/p>\n<p>Since the efficiency cores were disabled for this test, the multi-core test result suffered slightly and came in at 7,814 points.<\/p>\n<p>The first benchmark used an MSI MEG Z690I Unify motherboard.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-455035 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Intel-Core-i7-13700K-screenshot-1-687x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"687\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Intel-Core-i7-13700K-screenshot-1-687x533.jpg 687w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Intel-Core-i7-13700K-screenshot-1-515x400.jpg 515w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Intel-Core-i7-13700K-screenshot-1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The other test screenshot shows a benchmark of the 13th Gen i7 with all 16 cores enabled.<\/p>\n<p>In this scenario, the performance cores clocked in at 5.8GHz, with the efficiency cores running at 3.7GHz.<\/p>\n<p>The single-thread score was 947 points, while multi-threaded performance scored 12,896.<\/p>\n<p>According to VideoCardz.com comparisons, these single-thread scores show the Core i7-13700K performing 10% better than the Core i9-12900K overclocked to 5.5GHz.<\/p>\n<p>The tester used an ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming motherboard for the test with all cores enabled.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Intel-Core-i7-13700K-screenshot-2.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Twitter user @esperonslaie posted a video showing similar benchmark scores of 5.9GHz clock speeds, with temperatures between 72 and 85 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Neither the anonymous user nor @esperonslaie disclosed which cooling method they
