Well you may have to wait a bit.<\/p>\n<p>Customers who pre-ordered the gadget through Apple&#8217;s website can no longer expect to receive it on Friday when the first batch of iPads will ship, because of a deluge of orders, Apple said in a statement over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased,&#8221; Apple said in a statement. &#8220;Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Customers can still try to purchase a new iPad at one of the company&#8217;s retail stores, but that might involve a monumental effort since long lines for the gadgets are likely to start forming days before the scheduled Friday launch.<\/p>\n<p>The new iPad was announced last Wednesday, featuring a higher resolution screen, larger battery and more powerful processor than the current iPad 2.
