{"id":46238,"date":"2012-03-22T09:55:55","date_gmt":"2012-03-22T07:55:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=46238"},"modified":"2012-03-22T10:03:53","modified_gmt":"2012-03-22T08:03:53","slug":"mweb-boosts-content-delivery-with-level-3-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/46238-mweb-boosts-content-delivery-with-level-3-agreement.html","title":{"rendered":"MWEB boosts content delivery with Level 3 agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Mweb\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226947-MWeb\">MWEB<\/a> has concluded a strategic long-term agreement with Level 3 Communications, an international provider of fibre-based communications services.<\/p>\n<p>This agreement enables MWEB to exchange traffic with Level 3\u2019s global IP network and content distribution network (CDN), bringing services to South Africa and the Southern African region.<\/p>\n<p>Level 3 offers a suite of data, voice, video and managed services leveraging a reliable, secure global network. It operates one of the world\u2019s largest IP networks, a continuously upgradable platform, reaching more than 45 countries.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the agreement, Level 3 CDN customers in the U.S., Europe and Latin America will have access to a new broadband market in South Africa.
