{"id":466069,"date":"2022-10-25T15:40:33","date_gmt":"2022-10-25T13:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=466069"},"modified":"2022-10-25T15:40:33","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T13:40:33","slug":"apple-launches-macos-ventura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/466069-apple-launches-macos-ventura.html","title":{"rendered":"Apple launches MacOS Ventura"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apple has launched <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/newsroom\/2022\/10\/macos-ventura-is-now-available\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MacOS Ventura<\/a><\/strong>, the latest version of its computer operating system, as a free upgrade to users with supported devices.<\/p>\n<p>The update adds support for Apple&#8217;s continuity features, such as Continuity Camera and Handoff for FaceTime.<\/p>\n<p>Continuity Camera lets mac users use their iPhone&#8217;s camera as their computer&#8217;s webcam.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When iPhone is nearby, Mac can automatically recognise and use the camera on iPhone to unlock new capabilities that were never possible before on a webcam, and even works wirelessly for greater flexibility,&#8221; Apple said.<\/p>\n<p>Continuity Camera has a Desk View mode that leverages the user&#8217;s iPhone&#8217;s ultrawide camera to simultaneously provide a view of the user&#8217;s face and an overhead of their desk.<\/p>\n<p>Handoff for FaceTime lets Apple users switch seamlessly between devices while on a call.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Continuity-Camera.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-466011\" src=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Continuity-Camera.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Continuity-Camera.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Continuity-Camera-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Continuity-Camera-800x533.jpg 800w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Continuity-Camera-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>MacOS Ventura also adds support for the same Stage Manager feature that is available with iPadOS 16.<\/p>\n<p>The Apple Mail app has also received several updates, including changes to the search function and features enhancing mail sending.<\/p>\n<p>Mail&#8217;s new Undo Send feature lets you cancel mistakenly sent emails, and Schedule Send lets you complete an email in advance and then set a time and date for it to be sent.<\/p>\n<p>Searching in Apple Mail will ignore typos and suggest recently shared files.
