South African retailers are running specials on a range of tech devices ahead of the Easter weekend.<\/p>\n

Incredible Connection, Makro, Dion Wired, House and Home and Hi-Fi Corporation are offering specials on TVs; surround sound speaker systems, external storage and more. Below are some of this week\u2019s standout deals.<\/p>\n

By D:sign 40 inch Full HD LCD<\/h3>\n

This weekend, Hi-Fi Corporation has the By D:sign 40-inch Full HD LCD for R2,999.99.<\/p>\n

While this TV may not match up to the more reputable brands in terms of features or image quality, it offers the best value-per-inch of any Full HD television currently on special this weekend.<\/p>\n

The TV features a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, HDMI connection, built-in USB port and a 2 year warranty through Hi-Fi Corporation.<\/p>\n

Logitech X530 5.1 speaker system<\/h3>\n

These speakers have been around for nearly 8 years, and are still rated<\/a> as a good choice for those who want a surround sound PC speaker system on a budget.<\/p>\n

The Hi-Fi Corporation price is competitive when you compare it to what other local retailers are charging<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Logitech X530 set features 5 satellite speakers with one dedicated subwoofer, for a total of 70 watts RMS power, and is compatible with PC, Mac, DVD players, televisions and game consoles.<\/p>\n

Samsung LA32D550 32-inch Full HD LCD<\/h3>\n

Makro have the Samsung LA32D550 on special this week for R3,199.00.<\/p>\n

This Samsung unit is highly regarded by Mybroadband forum users<\/a> for its list of features as well as image quality.<\/p>\n

The Makro special on the LA32D550 undercuts other local retailers, making it one of the cheapest offerings in South Africa this weekend.<\/p>\n

The LA32D550 features a Full HD resolution, 50Hz panel, 4 HDMI ports and Samsung Allshare.<\/p>\n

LG 23-inch 3D Monitor (D2342P)<\/h3>\n

Dion Wired has the LG D2342P 23-inch LED 3D monitor on special for R2,000.<\/p>\n

We featured this deal last week<\/a> because it offered exceptional value for money when compared to 23-inch class 3D capable monitors from other<\/a> retailers<\/a>. Luckily the monitor is still on special, so if you missed out last week there is still time to get one.<\/p>\n

I’ve never heard of Bauer as a Television brand before, and the price hints that the screen will not be on par with the more well known brands such as Samsung and Sony.<\/p>\n

However, the specifications are impressive for the price; the television has two HDMI out ports, a USB connection, and a 120Hz LED panel running a Full HD resolution.<\/p>\n
