Internet Service Provider (ISP) Afrihost<\/a> announced today that their capped ADSL<\/a> subscribers will get more value for money, with higher data allowances for the same price.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Bronze client who pays R29pm for 1GB will now receive 2GB for the same amount. A Platinum product user with a 100GB account for R950pm will now get 120GB of data without paying a single cent more – bringing prices down to below R8 per GB,\u201d said Afrihost director, Greg Payne<\/a>.<\/p>\n

AfriGamer clients that pay R299pm for 20GB will now have 35GB of regular data to use in addition to their zero-rated gaming bandwidth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is arguably the biggest change to Afrihost\u2019s ADSL Packages since we revolutionised the market back in 2009 by pioneering R29 per GB – a time when the industry norm was around 3 times higher,\u201d said Payne.<\/p>\n

The revised packages are available immediately on Afrihost\u2019s website and will come into effect for all existing clients on capped ADSL products on 1 May.<\/p>\n

Afrihost added that it will also be re-evaluating both their regular and business uncapped packages. \u201cThough no official figures are available, they will at minimum match competitor rates,\u201d said Payne.<\/p>\n
