Core Group<\/a>, official distributors of Apple<\/a> products in South Africa, has revealed what the damage to your credit card will be when the newest iPad model launches in South Africa on 27 April 2012.<\/p>\n

Apple revealed the South African launch date of the device on 16 April 2012, along with that of eight other countries.<\/p>\n

The Apple iPad makes up over half of the South African tablet market, according to Arthur Goldstuck<\/a>, MD of research firm World Wide Worx<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This new iPad is the third generation in Apple\u2019s popular tablet PC range and promises a number of improvements over the older model, chief among which is the high resolution \u201cRetina\u201d display.<\/p>\n

Previous models of the iPad came in Wi-Fi<\/a> and Wi-Fi + 3G<\/a> versions, but the iPad 3 adds support for LTE<\/a> networks in the US. Models with support for mobile broadband are marketed as Wi-Fi + 4G internationally, and this seems to be the case in South Africa as well.<\/p>\n
