{"id":490265,"date":"2023-05-05T11:42:07","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T09:42:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=490265"},"modified":"2023-05-05T11:43:17","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T09:43:17","slug":"microsoft-launches-chatgpt-powered-bing-chat-to-everyone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/490265-microsoft-launches-chatgpt-powered-bing-chat-to-everyone.html","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft launches ChatGPT-powered Bing Chat to everyone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has removed the waitlist and is making its Bing Chat large language model AI available to everyone with a Microsoft account, the company has <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.microsoft.com\/blog\/2023\/05\/04\/announcing-the-next-wave-of-ai-innovation-with-microsoft-bing-and-edge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Effectively an open preview launch, the announcement came almost two months after the tech giant investigated dropping the waitlist in March 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft account holders can access the Bing GPT-4 language model by signing in to the new Bing or Edge with their account credentials.<\/p>\n<p>The tech giant launched a private preview of the AI-powered Bing Chat in February 2023 and has been gradually opening it to other users since.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also adding new features and plugin support to Bing Chat. New features include image and video results, a Bing and Edge Actions feature, and persistent chat and history.<\/p>\n<p>Adding plugin support will be key for developers and help Microsoft expand the use of Bing Chat.<\/p>\n<p>The company is working with OpenTable to integrate restaurant bookings into Bing Chat.
