Another model had to apologise after she tweeted, in response to Jessica Leandra dos Santos’ racist online rant, that she wished all white people were dead, the Witness reported on Monday.<\/p>\n

Tshidi Thamana tweeted: \u201cDear Mr Peter Mokaba?\u2026 I wish all whites had been killed when you sang \u2018Kill the Boer’, then we wouldn’t have to experience @JessicaLeandra’s racism [sic].\u201d<\/p>\n

Dos Santos tweeted on Thursday: \u201cJust, well took on a an arrogant and disrespectful kaffir inside Spar. Should have punched him, should have [sic].”<\/p>\n

Dos Santos, who was men’s magazine FHM model of the year in 2011, has since deleted the post. FHM disowned her and stripped of her Modelbook 2011 title. One of her sponsors, QuickTrim, which makes weight-loss products, dropped her. Hundreds of people sent messages on Twitter<\/a> expressing their dismay.<\/p>\n

Thamana’s tweet drew widespread condemnation. It was later removed from the social networking site, although she initially defended herself: \u201cDear all \u2026 Why do people think I am a racist when I said it was wrong to be racist SMH [shaking my head] \u2026 Really!\u201d<\/p>\n

International relations and co-operation department spokesman Clayson Monyela<\/a> tweeted to her that her words amounted to hate speech.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to value each other and not condemn each other,\u201d she responded.<\/p>\n

Although she initially declined to apologise, she crumbled on Sunday and tweeted: \u201cYes, racism is wrong and I apologise for the \u2018kill all whites’ tweet \u2026 It was tweeted in anger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later she added: \u201cDear SA, sincere apologies for the death wish for white people, it was tweeted in anger and yes, condemnation of each other is wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
