{"id":502048,"date":"2023-07-28T16:26:26","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T14:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=502048"},"modified":"2023-07-28T16:30:10","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T14:30:10","slug":"multichoice-announces-dstv-stream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/502048-multichoice-announces-dstv-stream.html","title":{"rendered":"MultiChoice announces DStv Stream"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pay-TV giant MultiChoice has announced a major revamp of its smartphone apps, including a name change from \u201cDStv\u201d to \u201cDStv Stream\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In an email sent to subscribers on Friday, MultiChoice CEO Calvo Mawela said the update will roll out from 1 August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur teams have worked tirelessly to deliver a smoother, simpler streaming experience just for you,\u201d Mawela said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve listened to all the feedback and are delighted to introduce a host of new features.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mawela assured that all favourites, personalisation, account information, Catch Up, BoxOffice, and live TV will carry over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve built on the things you liked, and we\u2019ve added so much more for you to love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted the following features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Better personalisation to improve content discovery<\/li>\n<li>Profiles for each family member<\/li>\n<li>A smoother and simpler streaming experience<\/li>\n<li>Change soundtracks to your local language where available<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The current DStv app supports profiles and the ability to change soundtracks.
