{"id":50299,"date":"2012-05-17T09:05:05","date_gmt":"2012-05-17T07:05:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=50299"},"modified":"2012-05-17T09:06:04","modified_gmt":"2012-05-17T07:06:04","slug":"firefox-sports-new-reset-button","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/50299-firefox-sports-new-reset-button.html","title":{"rendered":"Firefox sports new \u201creset\u201d button"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/strong><a title=\"Mozilla Foundation\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342687-Mozilla-Foundation\">Mozilla<\/a> has implemented a new feature in <a title=\"Firefox\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/220755-Firefox\">Firefox<\/a> 13 beta for <a title=\"Windows\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/360852-Windows\">Windows<\/a>, Mac and <a title=\"Linux\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/360310-Linux\">Linux<\/a>, that allows users to \u201creset\u201d the web browser while still keeping your personal data.<\/p>\n<p>The feature migrates your bookmarks, passwords, cookies, and form data to a new default profile, then it deletes the old one.<\/p>\n<p>It does not migrate add-ons, sync settings, open tabs, or tab groups to the new profile.<\/p>\n<p>The reset button cuts out the majority of troubleshooting steps Firefox users have to go through when they encounter an error, according to Michael Verdi, a Mozilla employee who works on the Firefox Help team.<\/p>\n<p>The reset button is still in testing though, and may be broken in Firefox Nightly and Firefox Aurora.
