ABSA<\/a> banking subscribers reported that the bank\u2019s Internet banking system is down for the second time this week.<\/p>\n

Users on social networks such as Twitter<\/a> and on the MyBroadband forums complained that they could not access their Internet banking services on Friday morning (25 May 2012).<\/p>\n

\u201cAny idea what’s happening with @absa online banking site this morning? Keeps telling me “Server Was Reset”. Problem my side or theirs?\u201d asked one Twitter user. \u201cDo #Absa Bank had a presence on Twitter? Their online banking is down…just want to find out how long it will be down for?\u201d asked another.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that ABSA fired their IT staff we cannot do internet banking anymore. The system is off again this morning,\u201d said a MyBroadband forum member.<\/p>\n

ABSA was contacted for information about the outage, but the bank’s communications department did not wish to comment until it received feedback from the technical team.<\/p>\n
