{"id":512054,"date":"2023-10-20T14:24:36","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T12:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=512054"},"modified":"2023-10-20T14:31:36","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T12:31:36","slug":"whatsapp-adding-self-destructing-voice-notes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/smartphones\/512054-whatsapp-adding-self-destructing-voice-notes.html","title":{"rendered":"WhatsApp adding self-destructing voice notes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WhatsApp has added the ability to send single-listen voice notes to the beta versions of its mobile apps, WABetaInfo <a href=\"https:\/\/wabetainfo.com\/whatsapp-is-rolling-out-a-feature-to-set-view-once-mode-to-voice-notes-on-ios-and-android-beta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>reports<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The publication said the popular chat app has started rolling the feature out to some users in WhatsApp betas for Android 2.23.21.15 and 2.23.22.4, as well as the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.21.1.73.<\/p>\n<p>It is gradually being expanded to more beta testers over the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>Those who already have it will see the same &#8220;View Once&#8221; 1-button icon that appears for sending single-view images and videos shown next to the waveform.<\/p>\n<p>When this button is triggered, the voice note sent to the recipient can only be played back once before self-destruction.
