MultiChoice Group Executive for Digital, Vincent Maher, has left the company. His last day was 27 October 2023.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday is my last day at MultiChoice Group, and like any ending, it is also a new beginning,\u201d Maher said on LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe past five years have been an amazing adventure with some incredible people.\u201d<\/p>\n Maher joined MultiChoice in November 2018 as the head of digital enablement for South Africa.<\/p>\n Before his stint at Africa\u2019s biggest pay-TV operator, Maher had a storied career in South Africa\u2019s mobile technology sector.<\/p>\n He was at Vodacom for two years, where he worked on the company\u2019s early forays into gaming and social networking, including The Grid, Gridstar, and Facebook Mobile Texts.<\/p>\n In August 2010, he co-founded mobile social network builder Motribe with Nic Haralambous, which they sold to Mxit in October 2012.<\/p>\n Maher was at Mxit for nearly two years, becoming chief product officer in August 2013 and departing the company in July 2014 to join Kagiso Media.<\/p>\n He left Kagiso in 2018, after serving in several roles, to join MultiChoice.<\/p>\n At MultiChoice, Maher was promoted from South Africa to group level in 2019, and to executive level in 2021.<\/p>\n He became Group Executive: Digital in August 2021 \u2014 a role in which he served for over two years.<\/p>\n \u201cVincent Maher has been an integral part of our organisation,\u201d MultiChoice told MyBroadband when we contacted the company about his departure.<\/p>\n We asked whether the company would fill or discontinue the Group Executive: Digital position.<\/p>\n \u201cIn line with our ongoing commitment to operational excellence and resource optimisation, we have reorganised some of our structures, and the group digital function now reports to Yatish Narsi, Chief Marketing Officer for MultiChoice South Africa,\u201d the company stated.<\/p>\n \u201cWe wish Vincent well with his future endeavours.\u201d<\/p>\n Maher told MyBroadband he would focus\u00a0on consulting in digital and marketing transformation after MultiChoice.<\/p>\n “[I will be] providing advisory services to execs who are rolling out large-scale digital marketing platforms like SalesForce Marketing Cloud.”<\/p>\n Vincent Maher and MultiChoice have parted ways.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":513713,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_sma_x_autopost_status":"idle","_sma_x_autopost_error":"","_sma_x_post_id":"","_sma_x_attempts":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[24],"tags":[85,35,475,25233,15675],"class_list":["post-513709","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-broadcasting","tag-dstv","tag-headline","tag-multichoice","tag-salesforce","tag-vincent-maher"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/513709"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/15"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=513709"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/513709\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":513817,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/513709\/revisions\/513817"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/513713"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=513709"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=513709"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=513709"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
