The Sunday Times Generation Next brand survey results were announced last week (Thursday, 31 May 2012), revealing that Vodacom is the most popular brand among South Africa\u2019s youth.<\/p>\n

The Generation Next brand survey, now in its eighth year, polled over 5,500 urban and peri-urban youths across the county in February and March, to find out which brands they think are the coolest (aka sickest).<\/p>\n

Vodacom emerged as the coolest telecommunications brands, followed by MTN and Cell C.\u00a0 8ta was ranked as the fourth coolest, an impressive performance considering that the brand is relatively new.<\/p>\n

    The survey also listed the coolest cellphone application, and here Facebook edged out BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) as the coolest app.<\/p>\n
