Asus<\/a> has demonstrated a new line of Transformer laptop\/tablet devices that will run the upcoming Windows 8<\/a> operating system.<\/p>\n

The demonstration took place at the Computex expo in Taiwan.<\/p>\n

The Asus Transformer Book range will come in 11.6, 13, and 14 inch screen sizes with a resolution of 1920×1080, and feature Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors.<\/p>\n

The new device will also feature 4GB of RAM, an SSD<\/a> for storage and integrated Nvidia<\/a> graphics, though it\u2019s unclear which Nvidia graphics chip will make it into the final product.<\/p>\n

Asus demonstrated a prototype at the event which is \u201cpositively riddled with air vents\u201d according to technology news site Extremetech, raising concerns about the cooling ability of the device in final production form.<\/p>\n

Asus, Acer<\/a> and Toshiba<\/a> are all expected to show off new hardware running on the latest Intel<\/a> Ivy Bridge processors and Microsoft\u2019s Windows 8 operating system.<\/p>\n
