{"id":5260,"date":"2008-09-17T23:02:00","date_gmt":"2008-09-17T21:02:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2008-09-17T23:02:00","modified_gmt":"2008-09-17T21:02:00","slug":"mtn-htc-s710","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/5260-mtn-htc-s710.html","title":{"rendered":"MTN HTC S710"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A recent advertisement by MTN advertising the HTC S710 Vox phone at a total cost of R159 a month on a ProCall 120 package landed them in trouble with the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA).<\/p>\n<p>A consumer complained about the advertisement, saying that the actual cost of the phone on a ProCall 120 package was R259 a month and not R159 as advertised.<\/p>\n<p>MTN said that the HTC S670 Vox product was erroneously advertised as being available on the ProCall 120 package at a total cost of R159 a month and it immediately withdrew all brochures with the incorrect information after becoming aware of the problem.
