MTN will soon launch its MTN AnyTime packages, promising simpler packages, savings to consumers and free SMS bundles on all offerings.<\/p>\n

Another advantage of the new MTN packages is the 5 months subscription value carry-over, increased from the current 1 month airtime carry-over which applies to most cellular contracts.<\/p>\n

Typical Packages<\/strong><\/p>\n

A typical MTN AnyTime package includes a phone, a bundle of SMSes, iMail and per second billing for a set fee.  <\/p>\n

A current contract, for example, includes a Nokia 6500 Slide handset, 25 SMSes, iMail and R100 worth of airtime for R100 per month – hence an MTN Airtime 100 package.<\/p>\n

For more expensive phones consumers can still select an Airtime 100 package, but to cover the cost of the handset the monthly rate increased to R 129.00 per month for a Samsung G800, and to R139 per month for a Sony Ericsson C902 or a Nokia 6220.<\/p>\n

High end phones like the TyTN II are available on lower end packages like MTN Anytime 200, but a monthly cost of R319 per month applies to this deal.  <\/p>\n
