{"id":534193,"date":"2024-04-26T12:31:57","date_gmt":"2024-04-26T10:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=534193"},"modified":"2024-04-26T14:25:56","modified_gmt":"2024-04-26T12:25:56","slug":"nedbank-online-banking-outage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/banking\/534193-nedbank-online-banking-outage.html","title":{"rendered":"Nedbank online banking problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nedbank&#8217;s Internet banking and mobile banking apps have been hit by an hours-long outage starting in the mid-morning of Friday, 26 April 2024.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.co.za\/status\/nedbank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Outage tracking website Downdetector<\/strong><\/a> first showed a surge in reports of issues with Nedbank online services in South Africa from around 09:00.<\/p>\n<p>The number of reports peaked at 11:00 before dropping sharply, but then picked up again from 11:30.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous customers on X reported issues with accessing the Nedbank mobile banking app throughout the morning.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Please sort out the app issue; it&#8217;s been so many hours now. Requested a proof of payment for a payment I made, it\u2019s been 4 hours,&#8221; one user said.<\/p>\n<p>Others posted a screenshot showing an error message on the Nedbank mobile banking app.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Something went wrong on our side,&#8221; the message stated. &#8220;We&#8217;re working on the problem and will be back online as soon as possible.
