{"id":537319,"date":"2024-05-17T07:56:14","date_gmt":"2024-05-17T05:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=537319"},"modified":"2024-05-17T08:00:18","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T06:00:18","slug":"gta-vi-release-date-narrowed-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gaming\/537319-gta-vi-release-date-narrowed-down.html","title":{"rendered":"GTA VI release date narrowed down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Take-Two Interactive Software announced an autumn (spring in South Africa) 2025 release date for its highly anticipated <em>Grand Theft Auto VI<\/em>\u00a0video game and reduced its bookings forecast for the current fiscal year as a result.<\/p>\n<p>The New York-based video-game giant sees bookings of $5.55 billion (R101 billion) to $5.65 billion in fiscal 2025, according to a statement Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>A year ago, Take-Two shares\u00a0surged when the company projected over $8 billion in bookings for the year.<\/p>\n<p>In February, the company reduced that number to \u201ca little above $7 billion (R127.4 billion).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The change in forecasts reflects a later release date for the title from Take-Two\u2019s Rockstar Games division.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Rockstar had said the game would come out on the 2025 calendar.
