{"id":5441,"date":"2008-10-02T19:02:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-02T17:02:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2008-10-02T19:02:00","modified_gmt":"2008-10-02T17:02:00","slug":"1gbps-service-for-r466","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadband\/5441-1gbps-service-for-r466.html","title":{"rendered":"1Gbps service for R466"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Japan&rsquo;s KDDI has announced that it will launch a 1Gbps fibre-based service to residential customers in October.&nbsp; The service will be symmetrical, which means that both the upload and download speeds are 1Gbps.<\/p>\n<p>According to JapanToday the service will be priced at 5 985 yen per month (R466 per month). <\/p>\n<p>This, however, is not the first 1Gbps service in the world.
