However, South African consumers are still in the dark as to when they will see Windows 8 products.<\/p>\n<p>Windows Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer Tami Reller said this week that Windows 8 is on track to &#8220;Release to Manufacturing (RTM)&#8221; in the first week of August.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For enterprise customers with Software Assurance benefits, they will have full access to Windows 8 bits as early as August,&#8221; said Reller.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;RTM is when we\u2019ll be turning on the commerce platform so that developers can start earning money for their apps \u2013 we&#8217;ll have more to share soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Reller went on to say that Windows 8 will reach general availability by the end of October. &#8220;This means that new Windows 8 and Windows RT PCs will be available to buy and upgrades will be available starting in October,\u201d&#8221;said Reller.<\/p>\n<p>Reller added that Windows 8 will be available in 109 languages across 231 markets worldwide.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_33884\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/images\/33876-windows-8-screenshots.html\/attachment\/windows-8-screenshot-start-screen\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-33884\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33884\" class=\"size-full wp-image-33884\" title=\"Windows 8 screenshot start screen\" src=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Windows-8-screenshot-start-screen.png\" alt=\"Windows 8 screenshot start screen\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Windows-8-screenshot-start-screen.png 600w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Windows-8-screenshot-start-screen-100x56.png 100w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Windows-8-screenshot-start-screen-185x103.png 185w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-33884\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Windows 8 screenshot -
