{"id":546607,"date":"2005-07-28T14:24:11","date_gmt":"2005-07-28T14:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/wordpress\/technology\/546607-sentech-wants-help-to-plug-black-holes.html"},"modified":"2005-07-28T14:24:11","modified_gmt":"2005-07-28T14:24:11","slug":"sentech-wants-help-to-plug-black-holes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/546607-sentech-wants-help-to-plug-black-holes.html","title":{"rendered":"Sentech wants help to plug \u2018black holes&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font face=\"verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif\" size=\"2\">Michelle Potgieter, Sentech&#8217;s general manager of marketing, says: \u201cThe company is looking for private funding so we can extend our current Internet coverage.\u201d<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><font face=\"verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Potgieter was speaking at the Sentech launch of the new MyWireless product, Flexi, yesterday.<\/font> <\/font><\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p><font size=\"2\">\u201cIt is not cheap to install base stations and in going forward we need funds to fill black holes in the cities we currently have coverage in.\u201d <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\" \/><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">The success of the June installation of a new base station in Nelspruit \u2013 which significantly increased Sentech&#8217;s subscriber numbers \u2013 has prompted Sentech consider expanding to other \u201csecondary\u201d cities like Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and others, adds Potgieter. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\" \/><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">Sentech&#8217;s coverage sits at 33 base stations in Johannesburg, 11 in Durban, nine in Cape Town and one in Nelspruit.
