The contract is for 36 months but subscribers wishing to end their contract have the option to buy it out.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">Telkom in partnership with Mecer, Mustek, Microsoft SA and Intel will offer a bronze, silver and gold PC package for entry-level, mid-range or top-of-the-range respectively. There is a 24 month carry-in-warranty provided by Mustek.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">Each PC package will be accompanied by the choice of four Internet offerings a dial-up connection (SurfMore 10 Plus), ISDN (Surfmore 30 Plus), ADSL 192 and ADSL 384. Telkom did announce that it has definite plans to include the faster DSL 512 offering in their TelkomInternet package in the near future.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">The prices of these 12 PC offering range from R376.16 per month for the Bronze SurfMore 10 Plus to the most expensive top-of-the-range Gold HomeDSL 384 at R790.96 per month for 36 months.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">The low-level Bronze SurfMore 10 Plus comes with a 15\u201d Mecer PC, 180W speakers, Windows XP Home, home delivery, installation, line rental and Call Answer. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">TelkomInternet aims to provide an easy method to connect with the hopes that by bundling the package more users will sign up and get connected.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">\u201cWith this low-cost PC bundle, Telkom is stepping up its social investment strategy to enable people to communicate by introducing to the market a bundle to grow the Internet industry,\u201d stated Rikus Matthyser, Telkom\u2019s Executive for Business Integration Service.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">Rikus acknowledges that due to economic constraints in South Africa PC\u2019s will not be available to the whole population and that this product is targeted at users who already have a Telkom line or are able to order one.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">Matthyser assures customers that extensive planning has gone into the launch of this product and that sufficient capacity is available in terms of bandwidth and support.
