Via its worldwide satellite and fibre network, the company manages and transports 10 million hours of video and other rich media yearly for its core customer base of broadcasters, as well as corporate, government and retail clients.<\/font> <\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">GlobeCast was recently involved in sending signals from the winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, and the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. It will also be involved in the FIFA World Cup in Germany and the Asian Games in Qatat this year, as well as next year&#8217;s IRB Rugby World Cup in France.<\/font> <\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">&quot;In the case of an international sporting event like the FIFA World Cup, GlobeCast Africa can pass on the content to Sentech who will then pass it on to the local television stations.
