{"id":552477,"date":"2007-06-05T18:43:25","date_gmt":"2007-06-05T18:43:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/wordpress\/technology\/552477-datapro-to-become-voxtelecom-2.html"},"modified":"2007-06-05T18:43:25","modified_gmt":"2007-06-05T18:43:25","slug":"datapro-to-become-voxtelecom-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/552477-datapro-to-become-voxtelecom-2.html","title":{"rendered":"DataPro to become VoxTelecom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font size=\"2\">\u201cThe original DataPro Group was very much a traditional ISP or data business,\u201d says Executive Chairman Tony van Marken. \u201cWhen we listed the business in 2004 it just seemed logical to use the name of our corporate ISP business, namely DataPro, as the name of the listed entity.\u201d <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">\u201cHowever, over the past year or so, through a combination of organic growth, the creation of new start up voice businesses within the Group and the acquisitions of @lantic Internet, Definity Telecom and Orion Telecom, we\u2019ve transformed ourselves into a telecommunications service provider offering the full range of voice and data services to both consumers and businesses.\u201d<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">\u201cAlthough the DataPro name is well known in the investment community and with our customers we felt that VoxTelecom was a stronger brand that would re-enforce our positioning as an alternative telecom operator.\u201d<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">The existing DataPro subsidiary, an ISP focused on the corporate market, will continue to trade under its original name.
