@lantic, the consumer internet service provider (ISP) within the Vox Telecom Group, has announced its second data price cut for 2012.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is our way of compensating for the recent increases in Telkom line prices,\u201d said @lantic\u2019s Dederick Venter.<\/p>\n

\u201cTelkom is still the monopoly supplier of ADSL lines so we can\u2019t do anything about that, but we can cut our data costs. South Africans are still paying far too much for Internet connectivity and we will continue to do everything in our power to bring prices down.\u201d<\/p>\n

A 1Mbps ADSL line with uncapped data will now cost @lantic customers R351 a month, down from the previous R589.<\/p>\n

The price for a 1Mbps uncapped ADSL account (hence without ADSL access) has been reduced from R299 to R199 a month.<\/p>\n

The price of @lantic\u2019s business uncapped ADSL service, which includes 1Mbps ADSL access and a 1Mbps uncapped ADSL account, has been slashed from R1,779 per month to R877 per month. \u201cThere are also major price cuts on the 4Mbps and 10Mbps packages,\u201d said Venter.<\/p>\n

@lantic has also cut the price of its capped ADSL data bundles.\u00a0 The ISP cut the price of its 10GB data bundles from R560 to R314, and has reduced the price of its 100GB package from R3,100 to R2,549.<\/p>\n
