A tweet from the official Twitter account of The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa, saying \u201cOH NO!! I’m missing out on @IdolsSA. I’m far away in another timezone. #sadness\u201d, causes a backlash from local Twitter users.<\/p>\n

The tweet from the “PresidencyZA” account, which happened shortly after the Idols show ended on Sunday night, drew a flood of responses from disappointed South Africans.<\/p>\n

\u201cIdols really shouldn’t be your priority,\u201d said Mike Sharman.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was supposed to be OH NO! I’m missing Limpopo books discussion on SABC 1,\u201d said Mr. Monono.<\/p>\n

Other tweets included \u201cHaybo wt happened to running the country?\u201d, \u201cGod help us\u201d and \u201cThis is what The Presidency is worried about?\u201d<\/p>\n

Other users took a more humorous approach about the tweet. \u201cNext year audition for Idols *umshini wam*,\u201d said Christian Steyl.\u00a0 \u201cLooking to wife an idol?\u201d joked user \u200f@Zach_Mametja.<\/p>\n
