{"id":5581,"date":"2008-10-15T00:55:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-14T22:55:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2008-10-15T00:55:00","modified_gmt":"2008-10-14T22:55:00","slug":"new-macbooks-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/5581-new-macbooks-launched.html","title":{"rendered":"New Macbooks launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apple has unveiled its new MacBook family that the company says redefines notebook design and lowers the entry price for advanced notebook features (<a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/photos\/showphoto.php\/photo\/7279\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>New Macbook Family image here<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/photos\/showphoto.php\/photo\/7277\" target=\"_blank\">new MacBook<\/a> and 15-inch <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/photos\/showphoto.php\/photo\/7280\" target=\"_blank\">MacBook Pro<\/a> both have a unibody enclosure crafted from a single block of aluminum, resulting in thinner, more durable and aesthetically pleasing designs. <\/p>\n<p>Every member of the new MacBook family includes NVIDIA graphics, instant-on LED-backlit displays and new glass Multi-Touch trackpads. The new MacBook family further meets Energy Star 4.0, EPEAT Gold and RoHS environmental standards.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Apple has invented a whole new way of building notebooks from a single block of aluminum. And, just as important, they are the industry&rsquo;s greenest notebooks,&rdquo; said Steve Jobs, Apple&rsquo;s CEO. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The new MacBooks offer incredible features our users will love &mdash;like their stunning all-metal design, great 3D graphics and LED backlit displays&mdash;at prices up to $700 less than before.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Traditionally notebooks are made from multiple parts.
