During the Apple vs. Samsung patent lawsuit, Apple filed several hand-drawn and rendered documents that show early sketch designs of the iPhone and iPad.<\/p>\n

The official concept images show an early iPhone design, which is elongated and features hexagon-shaped sides, as opposed to the final, rounded design.<\/p>\n

The iPad design shows a similar shape to the final retail version, although the sketches feature squared edges and a rounder base.<\/p>\n

Apple sued Samsung last April, accusing the SIII maker of copying its smartphone and tablet designs. Samsung then counter-sued, and claims of patent infringing from both companies quickly ensued.<\/p>\n

In addition to the prototype designs and drawings, Apple’s filings also included a number of emails and depositions about its plans for future devices.<\/p>\n
