According to the MyBroadband Insights Voice Testing Project, Telkom has the best mobile voice network in Nelspruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project analysed the performance of South Africa\u2019s four major mobile voice networks \u2014 Vodacom, Telkom, MTN, and Cell C \u2014 and was run in partnership with Keysight distributor Coral-I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It used the world-renowned testing platform, Keysight Nemo, as well as dedicated originating and terminating stations that ran custom firmware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our team then travelled across the country with the originating station and tracked mobile voice network performance across major cities, secondary cities, smaller towns, and major roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The terminating station was kept in an area with excellent signal quality for all four networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MyBroadband Insights measured key performance indicators like Call Setup Time, Call Setup Success Ratio, Dropped Call Ratio, and Speech Quality Mean Opinion Score (MOS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This data was then collated using the globally accepted specifications of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on this data, Telkom was the clear victor in Nelspruit, with an overall score of 95.7, and boasted the highest Speech Quality of all networks, with a score of 4.23\/5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Telkom, Vodacom, and Cell C all had 100% Call Setup Success Ratios and 0% Dropped Call Ratios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MTN had a 100% Call Setup Success Ratio, while Vodacom had the best Call Setup Time of only 1.09 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
