The Mail&Guardian newspaper is planning to publish a guide to South Africa’s technology movers and shakers. The book, to be called “Digerati”, will be published early in 2009.<\/p>\n
The book is modelled on the success of the M&G’s Book of South African Women and is being edited by well-known IT and business journalists, Phillip de Wet.<\/p>\n
The M&G has issued a call for nominations which it will be collecting until November 7.<\/p>\n
The M&G says that Digerati will be a guide to “everyone you need to know in SA technology. Think of it as an encyclopaedia of local ICT movers and shakers and you’ll be only a little short of the mark. It will also be an essential guide to procuring services, making decisions and just generally understanding the market.”<\/p>\n
The guide will have a distribution of around ten thousand and will be distributed to M&G subscribers as well as a selected group of “key individuals”.<\/p>\n
