As rumours surrounding a smaller version of Apple\u2019s tablet begin to heat up, alleged schematics of the supposed “iPad Mini” have appeared online.<\/p>\n

The schematics were obtained by ThinkiOS.com through an anonymous source in China.<\/p>\n

Based on mockups and purported image leaks<\/a>, it appears the device will have a significantly smaller form-factor, be lighter in weight, and come at a cheaper price than the current iPad – all while still maintaining a 4:3 aspect ratio for the display.<\/p>\n

This smaller iPad is widely expected to have a 7.85-inch, 1024\u2009\u00d7\u2009768 resolution display.<\/p>\n

The rumoured device is speculated to be revealed alongside the next iPhone at Apple\u2019s next media event on 12 September 2012.<\/p>\n
