{"id":57563,"date":"2012-08-19T22:56:13","date_gmt":"2012-08-19T20:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=57563"},"modified":"2012-08-20T11:12:22","modified_gmt":"2012-08-20T09:12:22","slug":"google-nexus-7-pricing-in-sa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gadgets\/57563-google-nexus-7-pricing-in-sa.html","title":{"rendered":"Google Nexus 7 pricing in SA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google launched its 7&#8221; Nexus 7 Android tablet PC in July, with prices starting at $200 for the entry-level 8GB version.<\/p>\n<p>The Asus-manufactured Google Nexus 7 is the first tablet PC to be launched with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system; and at $200 for the 8GB version, and $250 for the 16GB version, it is aggressively-priced.<\/p>\n<p>The Nexus 7 has received many positive reviews, and the low price-point makes it well-positioned to take on other popular tablet PCs like the Apple iPad and the Kindle Fire.<\/p>\n<p>Unconfirmed reports (from Forbes) even suggest that the demand for Google&#8217;s Nexus 7 tablets was so high that the 16GB version sold out, forcing the company the halt orders until the product was in stock again.<\/p>\n<p>The Google Nexus 7 has not officially been launched in South Africa, yet.<\/p>\n<p>Google said that it would love to bring the Nexus 7 to South Africa as soon as possible, but the company could not confirm any dates.<\/p>\n<p>However, many online retailers are already selling the Nexus 7 as a direct-import service.
