Simfy Africa\u2019s future platform development will be guided largely by user feedback, CEO Davin Mole recently told MyBroadband.<\/p>\n
The music streaming service launched in South Africa on Monday (27 August 2012), offering access to 18 million songs, from over 650,000 artists and 2 million albums at a flat fee of R60 per month.<\/p>\n
At launch Simfy had apps available for Adobe Air for desktops and laptops, as well as mobile apps for Android, BlackBerry, and iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod).<\/p>\n
Asked whether they have plans to launch apps for platforms such as Windows Phone and Symbian, Mole said that it depends entirely on the demand they see for such apps.<\/p>\n
\u201cBelieve it or not, there is little call for Symbian and Windows Phone support in Europe, where Simfy has operated up to now,\u201d Mole said. \u201cHowever, we fully take on board that SA might be different and hence we are keeping a very open mind on the issue.\u201d<\/p>\n
