{"id":586316,"date":"2025-03-10T18:44:03","date_gmt":"2025-03-10T16:44:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=586316"},"modified":"2025-03-10T18:47:52","modified_gmt":"2025-03-10T16:47:52","slug":"twitter-hit-by-multiple-outages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/586316-twitter-hit-by-multiple-outages.html","title":{"rendered":"Twitter hit by multiple outages"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Social media platform Twitter\/X experienced intermittent outages, with users across the globe saying they could not access the service.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twitter experienced a site-wide disruption that also impacted data pipelines it offers to developers, it said on a status page on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New posts wouldn&#8217;t load for users in South Africa, the US, UK, France, and India at three different times during the day. The first two outages lasted a few minutes each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several people in South Africa reported that the social media platform was still not working for them 30 minutes after the third outage started sometime after 18:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 40,000 users in the US reported having issues at the peak, according to the monitoring\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>\u00a0Downdetector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elon Musk, who bought Twitter in 2022 and later renamed it X, didn&#8217;t mention the outage on his own account.
