MWEB<\/a> has released its ADSL<\/a> key performance indicators (KPIs) for April 2012 to June 2012, providing details about their latency, packet loss and jitter over the reporting period.<\/p>\n

The ADSL KPIs are a requirement of the ADSL regulations which were published on 17 August 2006 by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The regulations require Telkom and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to publish, on a quarterly basis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) detailing at the least, packet loss, average latency and jitter for the provisioned ADSL service.<\/p>\n

Most ADSL providers do not publish this information, but MWEB is abiding by the regulator’s guidelines.<\/p>\n

The following table provides an overview of the latest Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from MWEB. It is noteworthy that MWEB reported 0% local packet loss during the reporting period \u2013 a sign of a stable network with good redundancy.<\/p>\n
