{"id":590860,"date":"2025-04-10T15:09:54","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T13:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=590860"},"modified":"2025-04-10T15:09:58","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T13:09:58","slug":"huawei-shows-strong-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/enterprise\/590860-huawei-shows-strong-growth.html","title":{"rendered":"Huawei shows strong growth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Huawei&#8217;s 2024 annual report revealed that the company showed strong growth, with $118 billion in revenue and $8.6 billion in profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Huawei was founded in Shenzhen in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei, a former deputy regimental chief in the People&#8217;s Liberation Army (PLA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He led the company from a small US$3,000 tech start-up in a top-floor Shenzhen apartment to a world technology leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company initially focused on manufacturing phone switches but has rapidly expanded its product portfolio over the last four decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has approximately 208,000 employees and operates in over 170 countries and regions, serving over three billion people worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are committed to bringing digital technology to every person, home, and organisation for a fully connected, intelligent world,&#8221;
