{"id":592190,"date":"2025-04-23T08:22:59","date_gmt":"2025-04-23T06:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=592190"},"modified":"2025-04-23T08:23:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-23T06:23:05","slug":"capitec-connect-cooking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/592190-capitec-connect-cooking.html","title":{"rendered":"Capitec Connect cooking"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Capitec&#8217;s mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) recorded explosive revenue and subscriber growth in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the bank&#8217;s latest annual results, Capitec Connect&#8217;s net income increased by 451% \u2014 from R35 million to R193 million \u2014 between 2024 and 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The improvement was driven by a 74% increase in subscribers with active SIM cards within the last six months to 1.6 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite only launching in 2022, Capitec Connect is South Africa&#8217;s biggest MVNO.
