{"id":59357,"date":"2012-09-10T12:02:36","date_gmt":"2012-09-10T10:02:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=59357"},"modified":"2012-09-10T12:06:44","modified_gmt":"2012-09-10T10:06:44","slug":"new-blackberry-plans-explained","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/59357-new-blackberry-plans-explained.html","title":{"rendered":"New BlackBerry plans explained"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Research in Motion (<a title=\"RIM\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/313525-Research-in-Motion-(RIM)\">RIM<\/a>) issued a statement on Friday (7 September 2012) that included an image explaining the limitation of the cheaper <a title=\"BlackBerry\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342709-BlackBerry\">BlackBerry<\/a> data plans launched earlier this year (2012).<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"8ta\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/276092-8ta\">8ta<\/a>, <a title=\"Cell C\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/213919-Cell-C\">Cell C<\/a>, and <a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226943-MTN\">MTN<\/a> all launched BlackBerry data plans with fewer features at lower prices, with <a title=\"Virgin Mobile\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/309707-Virgin-Mobile\">Virgin Mobile<\/a> opting for a different model, and <a title=\"Vodacom\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227063-Vodacom\">Vodacom<\/a> saying that they would soon launch cheaper packages of their own.<\/p>\n<p>When 8ta announced its R30\/month \u201cSocial &amp;
