{"id":598194,"date":"2025-06-10T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=598194"},"modified":"2025-06-10T14:16:21","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T12:16:21","slug":"chatgpt-experiencing-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/598194-chatgpt-experiencing-issues.html","title":{"rendered":"ChatGPT experiencing issues"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ChatGPT creator OpenAI says that it is currently experiencing issues with the chatbot, image generator Sora, and its application programming interfaces (APIs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It <a href=\"https:\/\/status.openai.com\/\">noted<\/a> that it has been experiencing elevated error rates for roughly five hours at the time of writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Some users are experiencing elevated error rates and latency loss across the listed services. We are continuing to investigate this issue,&#8221; it said about ChatGPT, Sora, and its APIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those experiencing it see long wait times when promoting the chatbot, followed by a &#8220;Hmmm&#8230; something seems to have gone wrong&#8221; error message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, not all users are experiencing this issue. Others report that the chatbot responds after a lengthy wait, only to have it produce an error message when prompted again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Downdetector, South Africans started reporting problems with OpenAI \u2014\u00a0specifically ChatGPT and Sora \u2014\u00a0just before 09:00 on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This picked up significantly just after 11:00.
